The Let's Talk About Him (LTAH) Sunday night evangelistic series recommenced its virtual services on Sunday, September 5, 2021. Through this program, the Personal Ministries department of the South Leeward Conference (SLC) sought to increase the involvement of the laity to play a greater role in evangelism. Due to other items on the on the SLC calendar, the LTAH, which made its debut midyear, 2020, had to be put on hold. In recent times, though, the Lay Preachers’ Federations on each island mobilized its laity and reorganized so that the program could resume in September.
This series, which is broadcasted on the South Leeward Conference YouTube Channel (SLC Adventist), Facebook (South Leeward Conference), and Second Advent Radio (101.5 FM), highlights the laity in all aspects of the nightly program which includes the preaching. This season of LTAH has featured Elder Eugene Benjamin, Elder Samuel Nicholas and Elder Telly George from Antigua.
The service which was aired on Sunday, September 19, featured a bilingual sermon, making it the first program on the SLC platforms with this intentional reach. Elder George ably presented the sermon by alternating between lines in Spanish and English.
The services will continue in the upcoming weeks with lay preachers from St. Kitts, Barbuda, Nevis, and Montserrat. The objective of LTAH is to inspire spiritual transformation in the lives of the viewers and position individuals to make an intentional decision to accept Jesus, even in baptism.
The lay members within SLC continue to make significant contributions to the proclamation of the everlasting gospel. The Personal Ministries department remains committed to facilitating avenues for the laity to accomplish the mission of Christ.
